Mashadi was born in Rumbio, Riau Province, on 10 February 1962, since March 1986 worked as a lecturer in Mathematics Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Universitas Riau (Indonesia). finishing his last education in 2002 at the Faculty of Science and Technology University Kebangsaan Malaysia, field of Mathematical analysis.

In the field of professional organization had served as vice president of Indonesian mathematical society (2008-2014) and in structural field had served as Head of pure mathematics laboratory (1992 – 1996 and 2002 s/d 2012), Head of Study Program of Magister of Mathematics Program (2012-2014) all in Mathematics Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Universitas Riau, Vice Rector of Planning, Cooperation and Information System of Universitas Riau. in the Research group, Mathematical Analysis and Geometry Group is currently doing more research in the areas of:

1. Geometry

2. Mathematical analysis

3. fuzzy analysis and fuzzy algebra

but also involved in assisting research in the field of Number theory.
